KL Rahul wants to play with Ben Stokes.
Rahul praises Bumrah, Rashid, Cummins, and Lyon as dangerous bowlers.
KL Rahul talked about the ‘impact’ of Ben Stokes and wished to play with him in the same IPL side. “Stokes had a great impact on the teams he played for. He can bowl, he’s a phenomenal fielder, he can bat till the end finish matches for his team. I hope we will play for the same team in future, it had been great to have him in my team,” Rahul said at a Red Bull event
The England all-rounder has the most expensive foreign player in successive IPL auction – going to Rising Pune Supergiant for INR 14.50 crore in 2017 and 12.50 crore to Rajasthan Royals in 2018. Stokes scored 635 runs and picked up 26 wickets in the three seasons he played in IPL so far.

Stokes fever on team India:
Rahul revealed that he and some India players were sticking with the team manager’s phone on which they watched the magic of the Headingley Test, while team India was playing with West-Indies in Antigua.
“It’s funny because that time we were playing a Test match too. But we were continuously following the scores ball by ball on the manager’s phone as we’re not allowed to use phones during the game” Rahul said.
Rahul shared the emotions of many when Stokes did the unbelievable with the Jack Leach against Australia in the Headingley Test. “What he did was unbelievable. It will always remain one of the best Test match that was ever played. Stokes is a phenomenal player, and the innings he played in that match are incredible.” he said.
Rahul praises some other players with or against whom he has ever played, including his teammate Jasprit Bumrah.
“I always found very hard to face Pat Cummins. Both Rashid Khan and Nathan Lyon also difficult to face. For me, All these guys and Bumrah, of course, are the most dangerous bowlers. Facing Jassi at training and in IPL or Domestic games against him is not easy. He’s a phenomenal competitor and don’t let you go easily. ” he said.
Rahul’s opinion on Bumrah:
“Bumrah is a phenomenal talent and I have had the privilege and opportunity to play with him before playing for the country. We both played for the same junior level team. Bumrah is very dedicated and passionate about cricket. With him, you don’t want to mess with because he can bowl at serious speeds and very hard to face.”
“He is always very competitive. In IPL and other tournaments, he doesn’t show any mercy to the players who play for the country. The things he doing for the Indian team are fantastic. I know that he is only going to get better and only better.” Rahul said.
