Rohit-Mayank spread magic in 1st test against SA as they have set a new record. The duo has broken 15-year-old record for the highest opening stand for India against South Africa held by Sehwag and Gambhir. This is the first test as opening partners for Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal.
Rohit and Mayank have also set a new record for the highest opening stand in India-South Africa Tests previously held by AC Hudson and Gary Kirsten in 1996. The India openers broke the record when the opening stand went past 236 runs in inaugural test against SA.

3rd opening pair to post 300+ opening stand for India
Rohit and Mayank played brilliantly and took their opening stand past the 300-run mark. They have become only the third opening duo to post 300-plus stand for the 1st wicket in Tests for India after Vinoo Mankad-Pankaj Roy and Rahul Dravid-Virender Sehwag. This was only the 14th time that an opening pair has score more than 300 runs in Test cricket.
